My studies in the Department of International and European Studies at the University of Piraeus were a defining stage in my development both as a professional and as a person, opening up new pathways of thought and growth. Coming from a regional village, the Department was my first big "window" to the world, a space filled with knowledge, dialogue, experiences, and continuous exploration.
The courses, but above all my professors, inspired me to think critically, to believe in my potential, and to view knowledge as a tool that can bring about meaningful change. I acquired the foundations and the confidence to pursue an educational and professional path in the field of international development and philanthropy. Apart from scientific knowledge and expertise, one of the most important legacies of my studies was the values I gained—values such as academic and professional integrity, openness of thought, respect for diversity, and the power of collaboration. These values guide me throughout my entire educational and professional journey to this day, and inspire me to work towards a fairer and more open society with equal opportunities and prospects for everyone.
