Graduating with highest honors and delivering the graduation oath on behalf of my fellow students 4 years later, completed a journey of continuous learning, as well as academic and personal development.
The knowledge and experiences I gained during my undergraduate studies in the department were invaluable in shaping my research interests, developing my research and academic skills, as well as in my subsequent progression. The teaching and guidance provided by the department’s faculty, which consists of Professors of international stature and high academic prestige, with rich research and academic activity, shaped my academic character and intensified my passion for international and European affairs. The professors were always close to us, making us feel that the department is a large family that supports and guides its children, while simultaneously encouraging them to seize opportunities and possibilities for further development both domestically and abroad.
Therefore, since I felt and still feel it is my academic home, after completing my master’s studies, I chose to return to the Department of International and European Studies at the University of Piraeus, this time for doctoral studies. Once again, I witnessed the very high academic and research level of the department, which served as a motivation for my own academic and research advancement.
For 25 consecutive years, our department has been contributing to the field of international relations and European studies, educating the international relations experts and diplomats of tomorrow. Studying in this department is an experience I highly recommend!
