The Department of International and European Studies of the University of Piraeus participated in the annual conference of the International Alliance of Mediterranean French-speaking Universities (AIME), held from 1 to 3 December 2025 at Jean Moulin Lyon 3 University in Lyon, on the theme “Mediterranean Citizenship/Citizenships”.
Within the framework of the General Assembly of the Alliance, the University of Piraeus was unanimously elected to the Vice-Presidency of the AIME Coordinating Committee, with representatives Professor Eirini Cheila and Dr. Christos Nikou, who also serve on the Scientific Committee.
In addition, Professor Charalampos Gousios and Associate Professor Nikolaos Raptopoulos were elected General Secretaries of the Evaluation and Improvement Committee.
This distinction strengthens the international presence and active role of the University of Piraeus in Francophone academic cooperation in the Mediterranean.
