In support of the courses “Images of States and Public Diplomacy” and “Communication and Media in the International Political Environment”, the Laboratory of Strategic Communication and Media organized a series of lectures.
Journalist Dr. Andreas Panagopoulos delivered a lecture titled “I see, therefore I… doubt: Fake news, deepfakes, tools and practices for truth” (10/11). Journalist Mr. Kostas Papachlimintzos spoke on “Journalism at the crossroads of Artificial Intelligence” (08/12). Psychotherapist Mr. Charalampos Soleas presented “Neuro-Linguistic Programming and Subconscious Messages” (01/12). Film director Mr. Sotiris Karamesinis gave a lecture titled “Greekness in the New Multicultural World – Culture, Diplomacy and Global Dialogue” (09/12).
The Director of the National School of Public Administration and Local Government, Dr. Athanasios Raptis, together with the Head of Studies and Research, Dr. Vasiliki Nikolopoulou, presented the session “National School of Public Administration and Local Government: Admission Process, Education and Role in Public Administration”, informing students about admission procedures, programme structure, specialization departments, and professional opportunities for graduates.
In parallel, a series of educational visits was organized for students to key institutions of journalism and media. On 7/11/2025, a visit took place at the Athens Journalists’ Union Union of Journalists of Daily Newspapers of Athens, where President Maria Antoniadou guided students through the library and held an in-depth discussion on the journalism profession.
On 5/12/2025, students visited the Hellenic Broadcasting Corporation ERT, where they were introduced to all stages of news production as well as the archive.
On 12/12/2025, a visit was carried out to the Athens-Macedonian News Agency Athens-Macedonian News Agency.
