During the period September–December 2025, the Laboratory of Educational Policy, Research, Development and Inter-University Cooperation (ERDIC) continued its multifaceted activity through the organization of important events.
It provided academic support for the activities of the programme “European Parliament Ambassador Schools” and participated in teacher training seminars held in Athens, Thessaloniki, and Patras.
Within the framework of the Jean Monnet Centre of Excellence for South-East Mediterranean EXCELEM 2.0, two events were organized on 6 and 11 December 2025 respectively, for postgraduate and undergraduate students, featuring speaker Evangelos Epitropakis, an official of the European Commission. The speaker presented the role of the European Commission in European governance as well as career opportunities within the European institutions.
The Laboratory also organized a conference marking the 30 years since the Barcelona Declaration, where Professor Fotini Asderaki, Associate Professor Nikolaos Raptopoulos, and Dr. Alexandra Nikopoulou presented various aspects of regional cooperation in the Mediterranean.
In addition, with the contribution of Dr. Eirini Mamakou, on 15 December 2025 it organized a lecture by Professor David Ramiro Troitiño, Chair Jean Monnet on Digital Europe and Future Integration at Tallinn University of Technology, on the topic of digital governance in Europe.
Finally, on 11 December 2025, ERDIC welcomed students from the General High School of Doxato, Drama, informed them about the European Security and Defence Policy, and presented the opportunities offered by academic life.
