The Department of International and European Studies was delighted to host its Welcome Ceremony for the new undergraduate students on Thursday, 15 October 2026, at 16:00, at the Conference Hall of the University of Piraeus.
The event marked the beginning of the academic journey of the incoming first-year students, who had the opportunity to meet the Department’s leadership, faculty members, and academic structures, while also learning about the curriculum, the Department’s laboratories, and the wide range of educational and research activities available to them throughout their studies.
Welcoming remarks were delivered by Professor Dionysios Polemis, Vice Rector for Academic, Administrative and Student Affairs, and Professor Aristotelis Tziampiris, Vice Rector for International Relations and Outreach and member of the Department, who emphasized the importance of academic excellence, active participation in university life, and making the most of the opportunities offered by the University of Piraeus.
The Department extends a warm welcome to its new students and wishes them a creative, rewarding, and successful academic journey.
